Assistant Dean for Finance Mary Peak oversees all aspects of finance for the University of South Carolina School of Music.  Mary has undergraduate degrees in marketing and management and an MBA from the University of South Carolina School of Business. In her nearly 30-year career in finance and accounting at USC, Mary held positions ranging from file room clerk as an undergraduate student to Assistant Controller of the University. She was also a key member of the project team that led the multi-year effort to implement Peoplesoft Financials at the University.

As an undergraduate student, Mary was a 4-year member of the USC Marching Band as a sousaphone player performing under the direction of James Copenhaver and Dr. Andrew Gowan. She was also a multiple-time participant in Tuba Christmas and was a member of TBS.

With her husband Bob (a former USC trombone player), Mary is the parent of two daughters and two sons – all of whom played or play trombone or tuba.
