Andrew T. McGown, MD, received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and completed his residency in family medicine at Caraway Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. He completed a non-operative sports medicine fellowship at the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center, also in Birmingham.

Dr. McGown treats patients of all ages with musculoskeletal problems. His areas of special interest are visco supplementation for arthritic patients and acute care of athletic injuries. He has the ability to treat orthopedic patients that are seeking non-operative care or extend care until surgery is a necessary treatment option.

Dr. McGown was raised in the Columbia area and has over 12 years' experience in orthopedics and sports medicine.
