Biography

In 2010 Takillya Brown began working in Financial Aid as a work study student assistant at Voorhees College, where she gained a deep respect for financial aid. In 2014 Brown began her professional career as the Part Time Data/ Admissions Recruiter at Voorhees College, she then transferred over to the Office of Student Financial Aid as the Default Manager/ Financial Literacy Coordinator.

In April 2022 Brown joined the USC SOMC team as the Graduate Financial Aid Officer working with the schools five graduate programs.  Brown is responsible for counseling the graduate students with personal and financial matters which includes applying for financial aid on a year to year basic, budget planning and debt management.

She states that she has the privilege of working alongside the Graduate Liaison to ensure that all USC SOMC Graduate students’ needs are being meet. She also assists with the many events that happen and take place within the USC SOMC.

In her spare time Brown enjoys spending time with family and friends and planning events.
